Fiesta Friday: Spicy Garlic Chicken Wings

Spicy Garlic Buffalo Wings

I have been invited by a fellow blogger, Aditi(confusedbawarchis.wordpress.com) to join the e-party at The Novice Gardener by Angie, who hosts a Fiesta Friday every week. She also says that it’s a lot of fun and I was really amazed to see what a wonderful party it is… Fiesta Friday is a great idea and Angie is right when she says that Fridays have a very different and special feeling..beginning of a relaxing and fun filled weekend.

A lovely place to  mingle and interact with so many bloggers and the beauty, all have a common passion- “love for food”. There is so much to learn that I need to really spend time on each ones blog, so am going to take it very slowly 🙂 but will ensure that I learn from each of the members.

So here’s to the rocking  party, my version of the Buffalo Wild Wings-my favorite and “D” and I love to just have them…From the traditional with bones to the boneless, from the variety of sauce to go go with I just love them. Since we both love to recreate restaurant kinda flavors, decided to make these. Here I have used Franks Red Hot Sauce for base and then added few other ingredients to suit my taste buds. Will definitely try making the sauces though in future.

A simple, no hassle dish which is perfectly finger licking delicious 🙂 Great for get together, parties, super bowl or just another night. Serve them with a home made dip and you are ready for feast.

Ingredients
12 Wings ( Frozen or thawed, cooking time varies as per instructions on package- mine were frozen)
3 Tbsp Frank Red Hot Sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp Butter
3-4 Cloves garlic, crushed and finely chopped
1/2 Tbsp Cracked Black Pepper
1/2 Tbsp Agave/brown sugar
1 1/2 Tsp Onion Salt ( I Mix Onion Powder and Salt in 1:3 ratio and store in an airtight container)
For the dip I just mixed together mayonnaise, some blue cheese, lemon juice, paprika, salt and pepper. Viola my blue cheese dressing was ready in no minute.

Method
Preheat the oven at 400F and line a baking sheet with foil paper.
Place the frozen wings and sprinkle some salt and pepper.
Bake these for 30-40 mins, turning them midway.
For the sauce, heat the butter and mix all the ingredients together.
Pat dry the baked chicken with a tissue and toss them in the sauce.
Ensure that the pieces are coated evenly.
Delicious chicken wings are ready in no time, effortless but yummilicous!
